Thank you amazing Vanity Fair for the lovely write-up on our 50th Anniversary refurbishment of our iconic #Italian Sale e Pepe restaurant in #knightsbridge Sale e Pepe Our favourite Knightsbridge stalwart Sale e Pepe has had a mega refurb and we can confirm it is looking as sexy as ever. Led by Hamilford Design, the new look draws inspiration from classic Italian design found in the townhouses of Milan with beautiful atmospheric dark blue walls, intricate wallpaper and bronze mirrors and details (that look even better when flooded by candlelight). The menu has also had an interesting face lift and features Italian staples to share “famiglia” style with some new, interesting additions such as tagliatelle with caviar and salt baked whole sea bass for two. But the real showstopper? Linguine all’aragosta (linguine, juicy lobster, Datterino tomatoes, basil, garlic) that is mixed and plated before your very eyes. It’s all to easy to while away an afternoon here especially when there are endless Dirty Martinis that perfectly pair with the succulent prawns, herby tuna tartare and crispy shards of bread to dip into whatever is left on your plate.
