中国山地を背にし、前面を瀬戸内に接する広島県南西部に位置する広島
標高600メートルの山岳を中心とする山地部が、東、西、北の三方から平地を囲んでおり、平地部は、太田川の河口デルタをはじめ、各河川に沿って形成されている低地、台地などからなり、デルタ市街地は、6本の河川が分脈して広島湾に注いでいます。
いつ発生するか分からない災害に備え、日頃から、地域の防災力を高めるとともに、災害時に被害を最小限に抑えることができるよう、その体制整備に取り組み、災害に強く安心して生活できるまちづくりを進めていきます。
Located in the southwest of Hiroshima Prefecture, Hiroshima City sits on the coast of the Seto lnland Sea and against the backdrop of the Chugoku Mountain Range. These mountains, many of which are over 600meters, stand to the north, east, and west of the flatlands across which the city is built. These flatlands consist of the Ota-gawa River delta and the lowlands and plateaus along the Ota-gawa River's distributaries. ln all, there are six distributaries that flow through the urban delta area out to Hiroshima Bay.
Disasters can strike at any time and the Hiroshima City Fire Services Bureau works with our localities day-to-day to improve their disaster preparedness capabilities. We continuously develop and improve disaster prevention systems and work to create disaster resilient communities so that we can mitigate damage as much as possible in times of disaster.

広島市消防局は、昭和23年3月7日、自治体消防として発足以来、市民の生命、身体及び財産を災害から守るため、消防防災の任務に当たっています。
The Hiroshima City Fire Services Bureau was established as a municipal fire service on March 7, 1948. We have been responsible for firefighting and disaster prevention ever since, protecting the lives and property of our citizens.

広島市消防局は、広島市の市域に加え、平成19年4月1日から、安芸郡海田町・坂町・熊野町、山県郡安芸太田町及び廿日市市吉和地区の消防事務を受託しており、これらの区域を含めた管轄面積は約1,457平方キロメートルとなっています。
On April 1, 2007, the area of our jurisdiction was increased to 1,457 square kilometer, extending from Hiroshima City proper to include Kaita, Saka, and Kumano Towns in Aki-gun, Aki-ota Town in Yamagata-gun, and Yoshiwa District in Hatsukaichi City.

都市形態の変化に伴い、多様化する火災から市民を守るため、日夜厳しい訓練を重ね、災害出動に備えています。
As our urban environment changes, the fire hazards we face become more varied. Our firefighting personnel train day and night to ensure they are prepared to respond to any dispatch and protect our citizens.
救助 Search and Rescue
火災、交通事故、水難事故などの災害から人命を救うため、専門的な技術と特殊な装備を活用し、多種多様な救助現場に備えています。
With specialized equipment and expert knowledge, we are prepared to respond to a multitude of life-threatening and disaster situations, including fires, traffic accidents, maritime emergencies, and more.
