When visiting Skytree, I had to stop by Hello Kitty Japan! It was afterall another recommended Sanrio store on Sanrio Japan's website. I liked this Hello Kitty Japan store a lot. Though fairly small, I was fan of how they had Skytree specific items. Among the cute souvenirs are a Hello Skytree plush, a Hello Kitty Skytree snowglobe and a Hello Kitty Skytree magnet. There were of course lots of keychains and I even saw a various Sanrio toilet paper!
It's right smack in the middle of the Skytree stores but one cannot miss it because there is even mini Skytree with a Hello Kitty on the front. It was lots of fun visiting here and a must when in Skytree.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Jan 4, 2016
This is technically a biased review, since I LOVE HELLO KITTY but I mean, the store itself was pretty legit though. Right downstairs from the Skytree in the mall is Hello Kitty Sky Tree down! Everything in here is so cute and just adorable. Some good sales on, but the items are fairly cheaper than American prices. A lot of their items are Sky Tree related but I mean but it's still adorable.
I picked up some socks, a reusable bag, some pencils, and two snow globes for about $30 USD. They have the show your passport if you're a visitor spending over 10,000yen for tax free (but I couldn't spend that much on Hello Kitty!)
It's a great place to pick up gifts for anybody that loves Hello Kitty from this store and there's a lot more than Hello Kitty here. They have Sanrio characters amongst other things. They were even so kind to give me free gift bags for separating presents later on!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Dennis A.Central California, CA983191308Jan 4, 2018
If you are heading to Tokyo Sky Tree, if there is one place that I recommend for souvenirs (may it be be for children or your lady friends), I recommend the Hello Kitty Store at the shopping area, Tokyo Solamachi.
May it be plush, cookies, chopsticks, pens, notepads or whatever Sanrio related, this store has it. And the cool thing about this place is that you get free membership which you can own swag (think points card) and immediately with your first purchase, you can get free swag.
If you are heading to Tokyo Skytree and are looking for small souvenirs that are not too expensive, I definitely recommend the Hello Kitty Store at Tokyo Solamachi. Also, because a lot of the products featured are not sold in America or other stores in Japan.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marc M.Shoreline, WA10397861051Sep 4, 2016
Pretty standard souvenir shop featuring all kinds of Hello Kitty merchandise including food items and Tokyo exclusives. If you are a fan of Hello Kitty, you will want to spend all day here checking out every single item they have and there is all kinds of stuff packed into this relatively small space. The store is located in a mall that is at the base of the Tokyo Skytree so it is most likely busy all the time. That being said, they have plenty of staff on hand to help people find and purchase their items so, for me anyway, it wasn't much of a hassle. One thing to be aware of is how many people are there to take photos of everything whether they are buying something or not which actually makes for some fun people watching from the benches across the hallway.

If you are a Hello Kitty fan, this store has a nice selection of HK goodies. I even saw an old school pochacco cup. Don't ask me how I know who that is lol
We spent about ¥3800 on various souvenirs for our nieces back at home here. Socks, shirts, pens, magnets etc...
Prices were fair considering its Hello Kitty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 3, 2014
We loved Hello Kitty Japan located in Skytree! We went a little nuts buying everything in sight - pens, bags, coin purses, trinkets, nail clippers, notepads, key chains, bags, etc. The girls there were so cute and helpful! We love Hello Kitty Japan in Skytree! It was the best location to buy all of your Hello Kitty gifts. Arigato!
