Good vibrations at your service 

Atlas Copco offers efficient and reliable high quality 

pokers with long service life. The high speed, rapid acceleration 

and high amplitude of our pokers will help you 

increase productivity. 

Plenty of reasons to go electric 

The high power, stable speed and high centrifugal force 

of our electronic and electric pokers provide a wide radius 

of action and rapid acceleration to effectively remove air 

voids from the concrete. There are also other efficiency 

gains, like the absence of startup time when using the 

Smart series of pokers with built-in frequency converters 

– just plug one into a regular wall socket and start 

working – or the fact that one frequency converter can 

run up to four pokers. It is also much easier to extend 

a cable than a flexible shaft. The electric motor-in-head 

solution helps keep vibrations where they belong – in the 

concrete rather than your hands and arms, making the 

electric poker your efficient and user-friendly option. 

Mechanical pokers – Quality components, robust 

design 

Assembled from high-quality components such as 

induction-hardened magnesium steel alloy in the major 

wearing parts and steel reinforcement in the rubber hose. 

To keep up speed and prevent rpm-losses the pendulum 

raceway has a conical shape for better friction within the 

poker head. The simple design makes service easy and 

inexpensive. Available with a selection of drive units to 

suit most work sites. 

Pneumatic Pokers – Clean and cool in all sizes 

An economical alternative, especially if an air compressor 

is already at the work site. Few moving parts means long 

service life and reduced hand/arm vibration. Highly resistant 

pre-treated tubes ensure long life. Excellent for walls 

and columns since the series is air-cooled.

The Atlas Copco screed range features reliable equipment 

for surface leveling and vibration – from single beam 

screeds with working widths of two meters to modular 

screeds that can cover 25-meter bridges or runways.

Our single beam screeds are very effective and easy to 

use thanks to low weight and ergonomic features such as 

a telescopic handle that allows the operator to work from

Ergonomic solutions and good safety features are

products are highly reliable. The gearboxes on our trowels 

have two-year warranties for instance. 

If you’re looking for high capacity and great handling 

control the BG370 and BG470 is the right choice. On the 

BG Combi two interchangeable protection rings – 850 

and 1020 mm – and spring lock blade fastening, makes 

switching machine trowel diameters between 850, 915 

and 1020 mm quick and easy. The smaller BG240, 600 

mm diameter, features a cast rotating protection ring with 

rubber edges for easy access close to walls and other 

obstacles. 

Operator friendly design 

We work hard to make handling, transportation and maintenance 

as user-friendly and safe as possible. The belt 

clutch on our petrol-driven trowels is a good example. It 

resolves two important issues – variable speed and the 

immediate halt of the rotating blades in the case of a loss 

of control – simply by using a V-belt and a worm gear. 

Adjustable and foldable handles, reduced hand and arm 

vibration, user friendly assembled controls and smooth 

handling are other appreciated features.

Solid Body concept 

The one-piece machine body means fewer parts helping 

to increase reliability. The concept also gives a low centre 

of gravity to our breakers and thus a good balance of the 

product. 

HAPS system 

By reducing the in-use vibration value of the machine, 

Atlas Copco’s HAPS system helps to decrease the 

negative effects of harmful vibration at a given trigger 

time. 

Highly efficient silencer 

The wear-resistant polyurethane silencer cuts the noise 

emission by up to 75% (as compared to the same 

machine without noise reduction, ISO 2000/14/EC). 

SOFSTART trigger 

The two-step trigger gives the operator full control when 

starting a cut – even under difficult conditions. Available 

with selected tools only. 

Air cushioned piston 

To reduce vibration and wear, the piston turns on aircushions 

at either end of the cylinder. When working offload, 

this practically eliminates metal-to-metal contact. 

Rotating air inlet swivel 

Easy handling of the tool, even when pressurized. 

Available with selected tools only. 

Integrated lubricator 

Helps to minimize tool wear and is excellent for cold 

conditions, when it can be used for anti-freeze, such 

as Atlas Copco Breaker and Hammer AIR-OIL. It holds

breaker sets. In fact, you might not need a power pack at 

all: with the help of an oil flow divider and an extension 

hose, you can hook hydraulic tools directly to a hydraulicpowered 

carrier. Hydraulic power packs are a flexible 

power source: use them to power cut-off saws, core 

drills, submersible pumps and many other tools. You can 

use hydraulic tools anywhere, independent of electric or

Easy to own

Solid Body concept 

The Solid Body concept integrates the percussion 

mechanism and guide system into one single block 

of steel. This unique design makes the SB breakers 

extremely compact and easy to handle. The Solid Body 

concept is standard for all breakers in the SB range. 

VibroSilenced Plus system 

The VibroSilenced Plus system is a highly efficient 

arrangement of damping elements which acoustically 

insulates the percussion mechanism from the breaker 

box guide system. Thanks to this concept, Atlas Copco 

breakers are among the quietest on the market. This 

has been proven by measurements based on Directive 

2000/14/EC. Moreover, the VibroSilenced Plus system 

helps to minimize the level of vibration to which the 

carrier and its operator are exposed. 

DustProtector II 

The DustProtector II is a unique two-stage sealing 

system, helping to reduce the penetration of rock dust 

and debris into the lower breaker section. Operations 

can be more long-term and trouble-free, especially under 

very dusty working conditions. This unique, protective 

feature is available on all MB & HB hydraulic breakers. 

All breakers in the SB range are protected by a dust 

protection ring. 

ContiLube II 

The automatic lubrication system offers an optimal and 

cost-effective lubrication. It is a fixed component that is 

directly attached to the breaker, working autonomously 

and easily accessible without long hose connections. All 

connection ports are protected in the breaker housing. 

The filling level of the cartridge can always be monitored 

by the operator since its position on the breaker is within 

his field of vision. All breakers of the MB and HB series 

are equipped with ContiLube II as standard. SB breakers 

can be equipped with ContiLube II micro (option)

AutoControl 

AutoControl helps to boost the performance of Atlas 

Copco breakers. The system automatically controls the 

breaker output to suit the working conditions and rock 

hardness, thereby creating a highly effective tool for 

users: maximum blow frequency for soft materials and 

maximum single-blow energy when things get tougher. 

Standard for breakers from MB 1000 upwards and all HB 

breakers. 

StartSelect 

The StartSelect system comprises two functions for start 

and stop which allow the start-up and shut-off behaviour 

of the breaker to be set in line with the actual working 

conditions: the AutoStart mode for jobs in unstable 

ground, the AutoStop mode for jobs on firm grounds. 

This allows the operator to work extremely efficient. 

StartSelect is standard from MB 1200 upwards and on 

all HB breakers. 

PowerAdapt 

Since excessive oil pressure is extremely damaging for a 

hydraulic breaker, PowerAdapt helps to prevent overloads 

by switching off the attachment, thereby reducing 

downtimes and repair costs. PowerAdapt is standard 

for all HB breakers. All breakers in the SB range are 

protected by an overload protection valve.
