A Lake Mary High School student was arrested for driving recklessly and injuring another person, deputies say. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office released a video of the incident that happened in the school parking lot on Wednesday afternoon during dismissal.Deputies say 18-year-old Hunter Hamilton was parked in a gray Infiniti when he sped out, lost control of his car and then hit a GMC Arcadia SUV. A student on the roof of Hamilton's car was sent flying forward onto the hood of Hamilton's car. Two other people were inside the SUV, and one of them suffered a head injury, according to the arrest report.There is no update yet on that person's condition. The crash also allegedly caused damage to an unoccupied Tesla. Hamilton is charged with reckless driving and culpable negligence.Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma acknowledged the incident, saying it was unacceptable. "Not only was this event reckless, but it was also an incredibly dangerous activity that put multiple lives in immediate danger. The end of the school year is a time of the year we often see stunts like these increase," Lemma said. "We will have zero tolerance for these incidents, and individuals who engage in activities like this should expect severe consequences, including arrests from school resource deputies and officers.
