Knoxville, Tenn (WATE) — A list of schools closed due to weather conditions across East Tennessee.

The following schools have all canceled classes for Thursday, Jan 6:

  • Blount County
  • Campbell County
  • Claiborne County Schools
  • Hawkins County
  • Loudon County
  • Clinton City Schools
  • Lenoir City Schools
  • Bell County Schools in Kentucky
  • Tennessee School for the Deaf

Sevier County Schools will be closed on Friday, Jan 7. This is when students were expected to return after Christmas break. An administrative day for teachers is scheduled for Thursday. Oneida Special School District is also closed on Friday.

The English Auto Society meeting has been cancelled for Thursday.

Bearden, Burlington, Carter, Cedar Bluff, Corryton, Farragut, Fountain City, Halls, Howard Pinkston, Karns, Mascot, Murphy, North Knoxville, Norwood, Powell, Sequoyah, and South Knoxville Libraries follow Knox County School closures in inclement weather.

Knox County Senior Center have been closed for Thursday, Jan. 6.

Knox County Convenience Centers have been closed for Thursday, Jan. 6.

Knox County Public Defender Eric Lutton and Knox County Commission Chairman Richie Beeler will be closing their offices at noon Thursday, Jan. 6.

The Circuit and Civil Sessions Court Clerk’s office will be closing at noon Thursday, Jan. 6.

The County Clerk, Register of Deeds, Trustee’s Office, and the Health Department will be closing their offices at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6.

The offices of the Criminal Court will be closing at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6.

MEDIC Reginal Blood Center’s Crossville Center is closed, the Ailor and Farragut Centers will close at 3 p.m., and the Athens Center will close at 2 p.m. In addition, all mobile drives ended at 1 p.m. Finally, the TN Drug and Alcohol event is cancelled and the Appalachian Underwriters event is delayed until 10 a.m. on Friday.
