With the pulsing sun and dappled light of the Riviera for a backdrop, dressed to kill in an all-black look, Iselin Steiro is the cover girl for the June/July issue of Vogue Paris. Styled by Anastastia Barbieri and shot by Mikael Jansson, we get to meet the girl behind the cover for thirty quick-fire questions.
1/20How does it feel to see yourself on the cover of Vogue Paris? It feels so great! The cover of Vogue Paris was my number one career goal, so I am naturally very very happy. And I am also very pleased with the picture you chose for the cover. What does the magazine mean to you? It means a lot to me, as I have been supported by you throughout my whole career. Many of the editorials from my career that I am the most proud of have been for Vogue Paris.
2/20How do you perceive Parisian style? Parisian style is effortless yet elegant and sexy. It seems to somehow just come very naturally for Parisian girls.. You have worked with Mikael Jansson, what is it like to shoot with him? Mikael is the sweetest man. He is very respectful and also super passionate about the pictures he's taking, so there's a great sense of energy and intensity while shooting. 3/20Which supermodel did you look up to when you first started out modelling? Daria Werbowy. I find her incredibly beautiful and I think she really brings something magical to a photo or a runway. She also seems very intelligent.
4/20Describe your perfect day off when you are not modeling. Hanging out with my daughter, doing some yoga and gardening, cooking a delicious dinner and watching a movie on the sofa with my husband.
5/20What do you do to stay in shape? Yoga, running and general strengthening exercises.
6/20What is your go-to outfit for day? Jeans, t-shirts and sneakers with a leather jacket or a parka. I'm very casual
Nick Harvey7/20And for the evening? The same, haha! But with make-up and boots or heels instead of sneakers.
8/20Are you more a city or a country person? Hm... That's a hard one. I guess my answer would be that I prefer living in the city, but I need a regular dose of the countryside and nature. Name three things on your bucket list? To complete my university degree, master yoga handstands and do a big trip to Japan.
