We are eternally on the lookout for the perfect trans-seasonal spring outfit – something that will look great, regardless of whether the UK’s meteorological mood is “balmy sunbathing in the park” or “chucking it down”. Thankfully, there are a number of well-dressed celebrities that provide ample inspiration in our time of need. This week, the accolade goes to Kate Bosworth, who was spotted wearing a chic (and most importantly, effortless) cargos-and-denim-shirt pairing. It so happens that the cargos in question were from high street hero, Mango.
Packing just the right level of laid-back polish, Bosworth’s ensemble is the ultimate lesson in outfit proportions: while her Mango cargos and boxy denim shirt are both suitably slouchy (the former are still available to buy online, if you were wondering), she expertly balances them with a form-fitted, cropped white tee. It’s the sort of layering situation that can easily be adapted throughout the day as the temperature drops. The dream.
We also can’t help but notice how well her outfit co-ordinates with her fiancé, Justin Long’s, look. Almost mirroring Bosworth’s outfit but in reverse (the ying to her yang, you might say) Long opted for a neutral-coloured shirt, white T-shirt and blue jeans. The couple announced their recent engagement on Instagram earlier this month, with Bosworth sharing: “If life is short, find the one who brings you endless peace and radical wonder. Justin Long I am so grateful it’s you.”
