Los Angeles Dodgers vs. St. Louis Cardinals: Live stream, time, TV info for NL wild-card game

The defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers won 106 games this season, but it still wasn't good enough to win the National League West division title. So they find themselves playing in the NL wild-card game against the St. Louis Cardinals, knowing a loss will instantly end their reign.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, come to Dodger Stadium on a roll. They won 23 of 31 games in September and October -- including a franchise-record 17 in a row -- that propelled them into the playoff picture.

The Dodgers may have a couple cracks in their armor. Star pitcher Clayton Kershaw won't pitch in the postseason because of a forearm injury. And first baseman Max Muncy is out with an elbow injury he suffered in a collision in the regular season finale. He's not expected back for the division series if the Dodgers advance.

Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner warms Tuesday during a workout at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
