The new Challenger has stood out among the return of muscle cars in the past decade. It has continuously looked awesome and had the performance numbers to wipe the floor with a lot of the competition. Don’t believe it? Look up the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. It’s one of the most powerful muscle cars ever produced, measuring in at 840 ponies.
But that was two years ago. How about now?

The 2020 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is the alpha male of the 2020 Challenger lineup. At 797 horses, it’s just as at home on the drag strip as it is on the interstate. The top speed is 203 mph. The 0-60 mph acceleration is 3.4 seconds. It can do a quarter mile in 10.8 seconds at a speed of 131 mph. The R/T Scat Pack Challenger has a much more modest 485 horsepower but is just as impressive. Its quarter mile was 11.7 seconds at 115 mph.
The 2020 Challenger has five different available engines to choose from. Supercharged performance engines are tied to the Hellcat trims and the 392 HEMI is only available with the R/T Scat Pack package. The 5.7-liter HEMI V8 and the 3.6L V6 are the base engine options. Each engine can be paired with a six-speed manual or a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic with electronic shifter.
Come take the 2020 Challenger out for a test drive. And when you’re ready to buy, get pre-approved to cut down on paperwork.
