Question

Divide the polynomial p(x)=x33x2+5x3 by the polynomial g(x)=x22. Find the quotient and remainder.

Solution
Verified by Toppr

Given:-
p(x)=x33x2+5x3
g(x)=x22
p(x)÷g(x)
(x33x2+5x3)÷(x22)
x33x2+5x3x22=(x3)+(7x9)(x22)
Quotient =(x3)
Remainder =(7x9)
