Eagle-eyed shoppers have been rushing to buy two fire pits for a fraction of their original price.

The La Hacienda Panama cast iron fire pit was originally being sold for £35, but shoppers could get that reduced to just £5 by typing in the code "SAVEMORE" at checkout.

Posting on Facebook's Extreme Couponing & Bargains page, the happy shopper said: "Thanks for the earlier post about B&Q fire pits, top one should have been £50, got for £20, bottom one should have been £35, got for £5."

And shoppers took to the comments to share their excitement with many tagging their friends and family.

One wrote: "I did the same!"

While another said: "I picked mine up from Hereford earlier today."

However, some customers said they were out of stock when they checked online.

At the time of writing, the fire pit was in stock online and the B&Q website was still advertising the discount.

It's always worth shopping around for the best deals, though we couldn't see a firepit for less than £5 when we checked.

You can compare the cost of similar products from other retailers using price comparison tools like Google Shopping.

And remember it is only a good deal if it is something you were searching for, you are not saving money if you didn't need it in the first place.

Make sure you're factoring in delivery costs too - it might be worth collecting your order if you don't live too far from a store.

It comes just days after B&M shoppers were rushing to buy a "premium" loungebed which was reduced by a whopping £110.

An eager shopper spied the item in their local store and was thrilled at the price.

Before that, Debenhams shoppers were flocking to buy a Christmas essential scanning for £28 instead of £112.

The retailer slashed the price of a decorative, festive garland by a whopping £84 online.
