1.0 COMMITMENT TO COMPLY WITH OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND


HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
I/We, IRENE V. SYJUCO-CHAOUI by accomplishing this Construction Safety and
Health Program do hereby commit and bind ourselves to comply with the requirements of the
Department Order No. 13, series of 1998 – Guidelines Governing Occupational Safety and
Health in the Construction Industry and the applicable provisions of the Occupational Safety and
Health Standards (OSHS).

We (also) acknowledge our obligation and responsibilities to provide throughout the


course of the project the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as added protection
for our workers and employees.

I also (hereby) commit to implement the necessary job safety and health instructions and
training to all our workers for the entire (during the) duration of the project, as well as the safety
of the general public.

SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY


It is the general policy of IRENE V. SYJUCO-CHAOUI to perform work in the safest
manner possible consistent with good construction practices. To fulfill the requirements of this
policy, an organized and effective Construction Safety and Health Program as described in this program
and in consonance with DOLE D.O. No. 13 and the OSH Standards must be carried out on every project.

To achieve these objectives, we are committed to the following:


 Identification of potential hazards that may arise from the programmed/scheduled work
activities;
 Organizing the work activities so as to minimize the risk arising from them;
 Ensuring that all workers are given orientation/briefing or induction prior to deployment to the
site;
 Establishing a site safety committee to act as policy making body of the project on all issues
pertaining to safety and health; and
 Ensure the conduct of daily toolbox meetings.

Our company is committed to safety and health. It is our policy to comply and implement
with high standards all safety aspects in all arrears of activities. The safety is one of the same
prerogative as the other business interest.

Every staff must be responsible to make research and studies, promulgate safety
objectives. It is their prime duty to contribute to the continuing efforts of promoting safety.

That all accidents can be prevented through effective safety management. That safety
management shall not be limited to Occupational Safety, Worker’s Welfare and Health, but also
consider environmental safety.
