      Andrew N The Korean title means "Eraser in My Head", but I think "A Moment to Remember" is a perfectly chosen English title, having more than one layer of meaning. A memory lapse leads to the first meeting between the future lovers, the first of many highly memorable moments. The scene construction and cinematography are superb. Son Ye-Jin, always beautiful, is at her heart-stopping peak of perfection, and the camera takes full advantage. Jung Woo-sung is also memorable in his portrayal of a rugged individual who is at first reluctant to marry her but later insists on taking care of her when she gets early-onset Alzheimer's. The result is a film that is sappy and cliched and filled with soap opera moments. Given the film's high RT rating, however, there are many people out there who are a lot more sentimental than I am. Little did I realize that it would be the introduction to the wonderful world of Korean cinema. I've pretty much stopped watching Hollywood in recent years because IMHO Korean cinema, especially mini-series, are just better. This stars the young Son Ye Jin, who has since become recognized as one of Korea's top half dozen actresses (and they have a lot of really good ones!) The style and production values of Korean cinema have evolved quite a bit since this was made, but it has worn well. Like all good cinema art, it's worth watching more than once.
