I believe we all yearn to be understood and my work with you is built on this as a cornerstone. I foster an environment that is rooted in non-judgmental listening and empathic understanding of your past, present and future. I offer psychodynamic, relational treatment, informed by evidence-based psychological theories and models. Therapy will be individually-tailored to your specific needs and struggles. In addition to my private practice, I am currently working at a community-based mental health clinic, as a staff psychologist and clinical supervisor to psychological interns, trainees, and unlicensed clinicians.
My areas of specialty include providing culturally-aware, psychodynamic-oriented psychotherapy to individuals struggling with depression and/or anxiety, attachment-based and relationship concerns or struggles, intergenerational process of trauma, and individuals who would like to build a deeper understanding of their past and their internal world.
Therapy can be a challenging process as painful or contradictory feelings, memories or realizations may surface. At the same time, by confronting our patterns, one can often build incremental steps towards a deeper understanding of themselves, and ultimately, of their goals. I offer a free 15-min consultation.
