Pre Columbian Fine Large Colima Pottery Dog

A large and wonderful burnished pottery dog effigy, plump and standing on four square legs with a pointed tail in the air. His large triangular ears are seemingly alert but perhaps his best quality is the open mouth with incised teeth. Ex Old California Collection.
