Escobaria spp

- Scientific or Latin name: Escobaria spp. - Common or vulgar name: Escobaria. - Escobaria is a small genus of plants from the southwestern United States. - This genus is related to Mammillaria. - The Escobarias differ from the Mammillarias mainly (in addition to the flowering position, much more apical in the former) in that the tubercles are furrowed, except in the Acharagmas that have come to be included in the Escobarias, although it seems that accepts as an independent genre.
