Paul Potts rose to fame when he stepped onto the BGT stage in 2007 and stunned Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan with his rendition of Nessun Dorma - but where is he now?
Paul left Amanda, Simon and Piers speechless when he performed Nessun Dorma at his first Britain’s Got Talent audition in 2007.
He had been working in the Carphone Warehouse when he first performed at the auditions, but has gone on to become a globe-trotting celeb in the aftermath of winning the first ever series of the show.

Almost a decade after leaving the show, Paul is now 52 and one of the most well-known Tenors in the world.
He's released 5 albums over the past 10 years, his most recent one being in 2022, titled Musica Non Probita.

In 2013 the former mobile phone store manager penned his own memoir, One Chance, which detailed his rise to fame.

Paul, originally from Port Talbot in Wales, still lives in the bayside town.
The singer and his Swansea-born wife Julie-Ann, who he met on the internet, seem to have settled there.
They bought a 1930s villa called Sunray in the town for almost £500,000 in 2008, a year after his success on the show.
They remain there happily to this day, with Paul estimated to have a $10 million net worth.

In 2013, Paul's life story was made into a biopic.
One Chance, named after Paul first album, saw James Corden play the opera singer in the rom-com, which also saw appearances from Julie Walters and Colm Meaney as Paul's parents.
Film review website Rotten Tomatoes describes the flick as: "Predictable and sentimental, yet thoroughly agreeable, One Chance is an unapologetic crowd-pleaser that achieves its admittedly modest goals."
