Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Epiphytic cactus with a trailing growth habit, reaching up to 0.5-1 m long.
Foliage This species does not produce foliage. The leaf-like structures are actually modified stems.
Stems Flattened, winged stems have a scalloped edge. They are purplish red to green.
Flowers Small, white flowers are star-shaped.
Fruit White, round berries line the stem margins at regular intervals.
Cultivation This plant requires semi-shade and high humidity to grow. 
Etymology The genus Pseudorhipsalis means false and Wickerwork-like, which refers to the slender twining stems. The specific epithet ramulosa means very twiggy, which refer  to the stem.
