The publisher Yamahei (Yamashiroya Sahei) published a series of prints celebrating the Gion Festival Costume Parade, held during the summer in Kyoto, during which geisha from the Gion district dress up in costumes. Various artists, including Toyokuni, contributed designs to the series.
