Alec Baldwin's fatal shooting on the filming set of the movie "Rust" might not be an accident but rather an act of revenge, accoring to John Dilbeck, a veteran TV location manager from Hollywood.

Dilbeck spoke to the U.S. Sun and claimed that the fatal shooting that took the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins by Alec Baldwin is just a bit of insight into what happens behind the scenes in Hollywood films.

The picture that Dilbeck paints is one of a toxic atmosphere between the crew and the actors, that's why he's open to the possibility of Alec Baldwin being set up by a crew member.

"I don't honestly believe that Alec Baldwin wanted to kill anyone, but I do believe somebody may have deliberately put that round in the chamber to set him up because they were tired of his abuse."

Alec Baldwin shouldn't negate any blame

He also said that many actors, including Alec Baldwin are egotistical, and slammed him with part of the blame.

"By their own orchestration of cutting money and costs, they created the parameter of danger and they are absolutely responsible. And when I say they, [I mean] Alec Baldwin is responsible. He is an executive producer. He has done this long enough to know better. He's tried to blame virtually everyone else."

Dilbeck wants to make an example out of Alec Baldwin

Dilbeck explained that due to COVID-19 protocols being so expensive and actors still charging the same to make a movie, crew members are left with a smaller piece of the pie and wants the industry to make an example out of Alec Baldwin for breaking the rules, what would stop anyone else, saying the crew members on the set had gone on a strike the same day of the shooting.

"He kept pushing and pushing the crew. We know there were many crew strikes leading up to that incident. They had multiple strikes, even on the day of the shooting. If I was a location manager on Rust, I would have stopped and shut their permit down. I could have saved someone's life potentially like I was trying to with Nancy."
