- The Oscars 2023. What do the blue ribbons at the Oscars 2023 worn by several celebrities mean?
Ana de Armas was one of the actresses who stole the spotlight at the 2023 Oscars gala on Sunday, where the famous artist was nominated for the Best Actress award for her role in the film 'Blonde'.
Yet, the prize was handed to Michelle Yeoh, who became the first woman of Asian descent to win the award for her role as Evelyn Quan Wang in 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'.
Despite that disappointment, Ana de Armas seemed to have a good time at the Oscars, apart from when she spoke with one Argentine journalist on the red carpet.
Ana de Armas' awkward Oscar moment
Argentine journalist Axel Kuschevatzky had the opportunity to speak with Ana de Armas during the event and asked her a rather bizarre question about her first years in Hollywood.
"People don't know how much effort this journey took you, living for weeks on Alex Pettyfer's couch", Kuschevatzky noted.
Yet, the actress was anything but pleased with his comment, stressing that she "didn't live on any couch", forcing Kuschevatzky to change topic.
Social media users were quick to comment on her reaction and criticise Kuschevatzky for the question.
