Another horrifically bad arcade conversion. Awful graphics in a small window with iffy controls. AVOID!

I've always thought that this game was highly semplicistic, with poorly defined and animated graphics, beeping sounds and weird controls. Only many years later I discovered (playing MAME) that this port is quite true to the origilnal, so it wasn't programmers' lazyness which borught that weird aspect.
But the fact is that it was fun. Strangely I've always liked it and played to the death until I finished it (not that it was so hard). My suggestion is to give it a try. You might even like it.

Thought this game had some strange appeal. The music wasn't too bad if memory serves, and there was kind of timing and luck involved with killing enemies that actually made it fun to waste away an hour with on occasion. Saying that, I think 5 is a fair score as the game lacked awfully in the graphics department, and it fell far short of being smooth fun; unresponsive controls being the main cause. Kind of programmer luck that it was even fun at all.

Pretty naff in all departments but it was strangely fun jumping around those trees and killing dudes in mid air. :| :fear:

There is a sort of charm to this game, in spite of the blockoid sprites and the infuriating gameplay. I think it's the realisation that with a bit of tweaking, it could be a very satisfying platform shuriken-em-up. The leaps are awesome, and spanging yr enemies in mid-air is good fun. Just a pity the character is slower than a week in jail when it comes to reacting to nearby enemies and what should be a nunchukka in the face ends up with our hero copping his whack.

Rubbish, but fun rubbish, I shall persist with this one, much as it seems to be against my doctors orders...

I don't agree with you. I even went through all three levels on c-64, and I wasn't awre of the arcade version those days. Anyway, it is not meaningless, and the game has good feel of space, where you have to aim and shoot the enemies with shurikanes from a distance. It is very nice to see how it flies to its target.

Just worse. Game graphics can destroy your eyes ;-)

I always thought this was bad because of lousy conversion from arcade to C64. After playing original in MAME, I see I was
wrong. It was bad because the original is just as bad. Same horrible one leg kicking running animation, same laughable
floating jumps and same aimless gameplay. What's worse, I actually owned C64 version. My excuse is it was about the only game
available in the local bookstore and I was itching to buy a new game since I had just recently got my C128. And I didn't know
anything about the game beforehand.

This game is actually the first game I ever cracked on the 64... What a memory!!! The game itself is an disaster... Superb MUSIC thou... But graphics look like shit, especially the main sprite... Game play sucks... Don't look at this game... LISTEN to it !!!

Holy cow! This game is the epitome of horrible! Aweful all around except for the opening tune which just plays in the beginning and that's it. Don't even bother, waste of a license and waste of time!
