LOS ANGELES (KSNT) – KU women’s basketball ran into a buzz saw in No. 1 seed USC on Monday.

The Jayhawks’ season came to an end with a 73-55 loss to the hosting Trojans. S’Mya Nichols led Kansas with 22 points, while USC freshman Juju Watkins went for 28.

KU fell behind early, trailing by eight after the first quarter. Then, USC led by eleven at halftime. The ‘Hawks made things interesting down the stretch, even pulling within one late in the third quarter. However, KU scored just nine points in fourth quarter as USC pulled away.

Kansas women’s basketball finished the season 20-13 overall.
