Miuccia Prada Biography Kraimod Fashion

Miuccia Prada is the Italian style creator and the business person behind Prada and Miu Miu. The most youthful granddaughter of Mario Prada surmounted the family-claimed luxury merchandise manufacturing in 1978. From this onward, the organization has obtained Jil Sander, Helmut Lang, and shoemaker Church and Co. In 2002, Prada opened her own contemporary craftsmanship exhibition.


In 2014 she has expected total assets of $11.1 billion. Maria Bianchi was born on May 10, 1949, in Milan, Italy. She took the name Miuccia Prada during the 1980s, after being embraced by an auntie. Her parents were Luigi Bianchi and Luisa Prada.


She has two more kin, Albert, and Marisna. She went to Liceo Classico Berchet secondary school in Milan and graduated with a Ph.D. in political theory at the University of Milan. Starting her career she got trained at the Teatro Piccolo to become a mime and performed for five years.


She was also a member of the Italian Communist Party and associated with the ladies' rights movement during the seventies in Milan. In 1978 she went into her privately-owned company of assembling and manufacturing of luxury leather bags, a company established by her grandfather in 1913. Around a similar time, she met her future spouse and colleague, Patrizio Bertelli.

By 1989, she structured and acquainted her first ladies' ready-to-wear clothes. In 1995 she further propelled her first menswear line. The Miu Miu line was presented in 1992 as a more affordable womenswear line motivated by her very personal closet.


She named it after her own epithet, Miu Miu. In 1993 she was granted the Council of Fashion Designers of America International Award. The next year she displayed her creative collection in both New York and London design weeks.


According to Forbes in 2014, she emerged as the 75th most puissant woman in the world. Later on, the Prada organization consented to move workplaces in the Netherlands and Luxembourg to Italy.
