A Third Gen K-Pop Idol Was A Fan Of KISS OF LIFE Julie’s Brother Before Her Debut
KISS OF LIFE has created a buzz since their debut as fans have praised the members’ incredible talents and unique backgrounds in the entertainment industry.
The talented group recently opened up more about how they came together, their experiences as trainees, chance encounters before their debut, and more.
KISS OF LIFE was the most recent guest on soloist Eric Nam‘s popular talk show and podcast, Daebak Show, and answered questions that allowed fans to get to know the rookie girl group better.
Member Julie (also known as Julie Han) is the group’s leader and main rapper and was born and raised in Hawaii until she was a teenager.
When she moved to Korea, she became a trainee and was surprised when her brother contacted her one day from Hawaii, sending a photo of himself at lunch with a 3rd gen K-Pop idol.
The idol was none other than Daebak Show host Eric Nam! Eric explained that he had contacted her brother, Joseph Han, who is a published author, because he loved his book Nuclear Family and wanted to meet him when he was in Hawaii.
Eric had no idea that Joseph Han’s sister was a K-Pop idol trainee; the fact was only revealed to him during their lunch when Eric asked if he had any siblings.
Julie revealed that her brother took her by surprise and sent her a selfie with Eric without further context.
As a big fan of Eric, she hilariously exhibited peak sibling behavior when she responded to him, “What the heck, why are you with Eric Nam? Do you even know who he is?” before explaining to her brother that Eric is “super famous.”
Before Julie appeared on the Daebak Show, her brother reached back out to Eric to let him know his sister would appear on his show.
When Eric jokingly asked for “dirt” on her, Joseph Han never replied.
