Having become one of the most successful artists in Asia, BoA now attempts to break into the US market. Eat You Up is her first single in the states, released on October 12 on different websites. Her potential in this new market is still unclear, though just by reading the producers' names, one can imagine a bright future for BoA in the US - Bloodshy&Avant have already written songs for big names like Britney Spears, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez.

BoA's Eat You Up has no reason to hide behind hits like Britney Spears' Piece of Me. The track is a powerful, nearly aggressive sounding Hip Hop/Dance number with heavy bass and a chorus that creeps into one's ears. Another big plus is that the lyrics are easy and plain, still sexy and definitely directed towards the US audience. BoA strikes a new path with Eat You Up, a path that some don't like due to the titillating lyrics. However, with ordinary pop music, she would never be able to make a big impact in the largest music market. The track is catchy and you can easily imagine hearing this song in a club.

However, many still doubt if she can make it, since the question remains: Does the USA need yet another pop icon? One can only wait and see how Eat You Up sells online, and later when it's released offline as well. On Amazon.com she has already managed to get into the top 25, and on iTunes she even reached the top 20, which proves that there are plenty of fans behind BoA encouraging her.

If you want to buy the song as well visit amazon.com or iTunes.
