Does it get any more iconic than a classic MINI? Produced for over four decades, these little two-door models are known worldwide for go-kart-like handling, impressive fuel efficiency, and sporty styling. This 1994 1275cc example is offered with a mere 45K verified miles and has been refinished in British Racing Green. Accentuated by a contrasting white roof, the body is in good shape other than some minor dings and chips associated with normal use. Certainly a head-turning ride, this stickshift two-door is freshly serviced, legally imported, and a blast to drive!

The cockpit is in much better nick than the average Cooper. The most impactful option is the Pistachio colored lounge leather seats. They are accented with white piping and stamped with MINIs logo. They are much more comfortable than the normal seats and are in great shape. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and break up the gray color pallet used for the rest of the cabin. The rear seats are actually usable and include door card storage incase the glove box cant fit everyone's nicknacks. The dash looks good and lacks any cracks or distortion. The switchgear is simple to find, and easy to use, and unlike European imports, actually comes with factory A/C. The system currently works, as does the heat, and the car could realistically be used year-round if you wish. The door cards, carpets, and headliner are all in fine shape and have been cared for over the years. Manual locks and windows are one less thing that can break, and carry on the theme of simplicity. On the downside, the head unit was removed at some point but that is an inexpensive and simple fix. Also, we did want to mention that the service records and owners' manual are included in the sale for authenticity's sake.

The MINI was originally designed as an economy car, but by the end of its run, was known for its sportiness. The brand's formidable racing heritage was spearheaded by John Cooper who imagined a bigger motor, bigger brakes, and improved handling from what was considered a commuter car at the time. Enthusiasts will confirm that our little Rover in fact does have the hotshot 1275cc engine, and it's even fuel-injected for improved drivability. The four-banger turns over with a twist of the key, the troaty bark of the 4-cylinder comes to life. Power is transmitted to the front wheels from a four-speed manual gearbox. The unit shifts properly and can merge up to highway speeds without concerning the driver. The brakes are direct and the suspension is firm but responsive. The tiny twelve-inch wheels are wrapped with all-season tires that deliver all the grip you need.

The MINI proves that you don't need to spend big money on a car that delivers efficient and fun motoring. This British export is certainly a certified Japanese Classic you won't want to miss!
