Descriptions 2

Medium to large tree up to 30 m tall, major branches horizontal or ascending at about 45°, bark pale grey and rough. Leaves 5 - 11 foliolate, ussually over 9 on reproductive shoots. Flowers emerging at or just before leaf emergence, with petals pale yellow, becoming darker with age. Fruits ussually oblong, pericarp brown.
Phenology: flowering in November and December, ripe fruit in October and November.

Ecology 2

Confined to the northern tip of Madagascar the species is known from just five sites.
