Bazaar's Top 10 Male Models

This American model is a favourite of Karl Lagerfield's – often referred to as the fashion mogul’s muse. Enlisted by King Karl as the face of Chanel and Fendi, Kroenig has used this platform to become one of the top names in the male modelling industry; and now it seems his six-year-old son Hudson is following in his footsteps, walking alongside his dad in multiple Chanel shows.

David Gandy
If there’s anyone who embodies the “tall, dark and handsome” ideal, it’s got to be Gandy. Flying the flag for hot British men, this is one male model you will certainly recognise. He has been the face of Dolce & Gabanna for various campaigns, and there are few publication covers he hasn’t graced with his good looks.

Tyson Beckford
With a career spanning twelve years, the handsome Beckford is a seasoned pro in the world of modelling, so it’s no wonder he’s decided to turn his hand to acting too. This multi-talented American started out as the face of Ralph Lauren, before rapidly working his way up the modelling ranks to his current position in the top five male models worldwide.

Another man of many talents, the Canadian model-turned-actor Mills has much more than just fashion campaigns on his CV. Sex and the City 2 is just one of the many films that he’s appeared in, while his aforementioned fashion campaign portfolio boasts names such as Dolce & Gabanna and Tommy Hilfiger.

Patrick Petitjean
Is it Petitjean’s French charm that has secured him a position among the world’s most successful models? Or is it that beard? Perhaps both, but we’re almost certain that it was Petitjean who paved the way for the comeback of bold facial hair in the last few years. The model has appeared in campaigns for Hèrmes, Kenzo and Bulgari, proving that a striking beard can be pretty lucrative.

Jon Kortajarena
With his chiselled physique and strongly defined cheekbones, it comes as no surprise that Kortajena makes the list of top male models worldwide. Even if you don’t recognise the name, his face is one you’re unlikely to forget. The gorgeous Spanish model broke into the modelling world over 10 years ago and has since worked with Guess, Giorgio Armani and Versace, as well as dabbling in acting.

Lucky Blue Smith
Lucky Blue Smith is the name on everybody’s lips this year. Utilising his 1.2 million strong following presence on social media, he ensured he was the model at the top of every wish list during the A/W season. His action-packed schedule saw him walking for the likes of Fendi and Moschino, while still building up a vast portfolio of editorial work (including landing a coveted spot in Carine Roitfeld's latest Bazaar Icons shoot). We can only expect big things to come for Smith.

RJ Rogenski
Rogenski’s modelling credentials cover a period of almost 15 years, and he has worked with many of the best names in the industry, including brands such as Hugo Boss, Hermès and Michael Kors, and photographers from Richard Avedon to Mario Testino. The model has long since been on Bazaar’s radar: he featured in our Romeo and Juliet editorial back in 2013.

Lauridsen’s piercing blue eyes and striking looks have hooked numerous fashion powerhouses since 2003, when he first entered the industry. The Danish beauty has headed up campaigns for Armani, Calvin Klein and more recently for Gucci, proving he’s a hot commodity in this business.

It would be hard to think of a brand that hasn’t snapped up O’Pry for a show or campaign; this male supermodel has been busy in high demand since he launched his career just under 10 years ago. With a starring role in Taylor Swift's Blank Space video, it’s hardly surprising that he topped Forbes’ 2014 list of highest paid male models.
