Cary Grant On Style
The name Cary Grant has become synonymous with "well-dressed man." In spite of a modest avowal that he does not understand why, he invariably heads any list of such gentlemen. Over the years, GQ has been pleased to have a continuing relationship with Mr. Grant: we ran an exclusive interview with him in 1958 and featured two cover stories on him, one in 1962, the other in 1964. But only once has Mr. Grant himself authored an article on the principles of good dress, and that was for This Week magazine some five years ago. With the permission of Mr. Grant and The Week, we here reprint his timeless precepts—GQ, Winter 1967/68
