The snappy storytelling, the dogfights, and watching Tomoko warm up to her misfit squadron mates was nice.
Really wasn't much of a fan of the other side-characters, though. Or the somewhat suspicious focus exclusively on underage girls (though I suppose that's par for course for the Strike Witches series?). Also, making one of the younger characters a lesbian just to be the butt of some of the jokes felt kinda bad.
