Looking at the photos from L.A. fashion week has made me want to hop a plane to the left coast and get involved with all of that casual California girl fashion. Actress Garcelle Beauvais Nilon may not have a major movie under her belt yet, but her belt is stylish enough that it doesn't even matter. As all smart Los Angeles ladies know, dressing the part is nearly as important as actually getting it. Score her look for less, after the jump.
This look works for a few reasons, most importantly because of the proportion. Wide leg pants can be extremely flattering if you know how to wear them, and much less so if you don't. The trick is to keep everything other than the pants looking slim: a skinny belt, a sleeveless top that shows off her slender shoulders, a sleek, understated hairdo, and simple accessories.
