Product description

Ferocactus coloratus ssp. rectispinus is an impressive cactus species that owes its name to the fantastic appearancea and upright spines. This cactus is part of the Ferocactus genus and is native to the dry deserts of North America, especially in the US and Mexico. 

Its spines are upright, long and yellow of colour and prevent the cactus from being eaten by animals, as well as against wilting through a lack of water. The cactus itself is usually ball-shaped and green. The green-yellow combination creates a beautiful contrast. It thrives in sunny and dry conditions and can survive the rough desert. It can reach impressive sizes and producefantastic yellow to red flowers. These flowers attract pollinators as well.
