Just days after Angelina Jolie secretly tied the knot with Brad Pitt in France, her former girlfriend also wed her long-term partner.

And Jenny Shimizu, 47, couldn't hide her excitement after marrying socialite Michelle Harper in New York.

The model and actress posted a touching Instagram snap showing her kissing her new wife during their city hall wedding.

Jenny, who met Michelle in 2012, was masculine chic in a fitted black suit.

Her partner, meanwhile, wore a vintage ivory Rochas gown by Oliver Theyskens that sported a long, flouncy train.

In the picture, the couple are seen leaning over and sharing a kiss at the counter where they wed.

She referenced New York Fashion Week - which is currently in full swing - in her caption:

'THE SHOW THAT REALLY MATTERS- WINDOW 15. i sat front row!! #meandmine #porvida #cityhall #rochasTheyskens.'

Photos of Jenny's big day were released on Wednesday, which saw her sporting black sunglasses and a waistcoat.

The Japanese-American star is pictured walking behind her wife-to-be, who can be seen holding up her gown as she walks through the city, after finishing off her attire with a slick of bright lipstick.

Jenny previously spoke of the moment she met her future wife during an interview with the New York Times, commenting: 'I didn’t believe it myself until I saw it. It’s like so many things about her.

'There are these misconceptions and generalizations that don’t fit this person who is full of spirit and down-to-earthiness.'

Mother-of-six Angelina once said that she ‘would probably have married’ Jenny if she hadn’t instead wed first husband Jonny Lee Miller.

Jenny, who embarked on a lesbian love affair with her after they starred together in Foxfire, only recently announced she was engaged to Michelle.

The star and the brand consultant posed together for a bridal photo shoot in June which appeared in Vogue.

Angelina famously said about her ex in a 1997 interview with Girlfriends magazine: ‘I fell in love with her the first second I saw her. I would probably have married Jenny if I hadn't married my [first] husband.’

Jenny has also claimed in the past to have had an affair with Madonna.

Angelina and Brad married at their chateau the weekend before last, and the happy news broke the following Thursday.

The 39-year-old is currently in Malta ahead of filming for By The Sea, which Brad also stars in, and was seen there with daughters Vivienne and Shiloh on Friday.
