I vant to drink your milk! 'Vampire cat' Toivo looks just like a furry Dracula

A 'vampire cat' from Finland has been caught on camera exposing his fangs to look just like a furry Dracula.

Five-year-old oriental shorthair Toivo can be seeing posing next to a pumpkin and spooking out his housemates with his jet-black fur and piercing golden eyes.

He is also photographed with his friends Hannu, four, a ticked tabby, and Marsel, one, a white oriental shorthair.

Owner Tuomas Ikonen, 43, said: 'Usually people find Toivo funny or weird looking. They say he looks more like a bat or lizard than a cat. I agree.

'We have always been fascinated by black cats and their mysterious looks, especially oriental cats. Everything that makes a cat a cat is amped up to 11 in orientals.

'We got our first black oriental cat over 10 years ago. Sadly, he passed away when he was seven years old, and we got Toivo after that.'

Tuomas revealed that despite Tovio's potentially startling appearance, the feline is the calmest of the group.

He added: 'Every one of them has their own personality. Toivo has a really loud voice and he's not afraid to use it - he sounds like an out of tune falsetto opera singer.

'He looks like a badass panther-bat hybrid, but he's the most calm and cuddly cat. He wouldn't hurt a fly.

'Our daughter carries him around the house and he doesn't mind, he enjoys the attention.'

The proud cat owner then shared his advice for anyone considering getting a cat, vampire or not, this October.

He explained: 'If you are getting a cat, prepare to look after it for the next 15 to 20 years. Don't get a cat if you're not willing to do so. Oriental cats especially need more affection from humans. They are very loud and if they get sick, and it could cost a lot to treat them in a vet.

'Oriental cats are very social - they don't like being alone. I wouldn't get an oriental cat as an only cat, as they need the companion of their own species.

'Don't take cats from kitten mills. Get them from respectable and responsible breeders or from a cat shelter. Pure-breed cats should always come with registration papers and health certificates.

'If you are getting a cat from the shelter, considering getting a black cat. They have the highest rate of euthanasia and the lowest rates of adoption because of the stigma of their colour.'
