Last week, fans reveled at the thought of a possible reunion between Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan after Thugger previewed a snippet featuring the two Rich Gang stars on Instagram. Despite unearthing the record, Thugger’s relationship with Quan appears to still be on the rocks.
In a new interview with WEDR 99 JAMZ, RHQ debunked a possible friendship with his on-off-again collaborator. “We don’t got no bad blood, but we don’t talk. We don’t talk every day like you would think we would talk every day. But we don’t got no bad blood. I just leave… you know, it is what it is. I wish him the best,” Quan said.
To further deflate the joy of their fans, Quan revealed that the leaks orchestrated by Thugger are seemingly old records. “[They’re] old. I remember them getting leaked about two or three years ago. We ain’t did music in a long time,” he explained.

In a recent interview with HotNewHipHop, Quan said he and Thugger weren’t on bad terms. “I’m on good terms with everybody,” he said. “We don’t have any bad terms, it’s just like, now we’re solo artists, you feel me? I think people forget that we were always supposed to be solo artists, we just happened to collaborate on a project. There was never supposed to be another project like that.”
The Thugger record used to tantalize fans on Instagram is slated to live on his forthcoming album Easy Breezy Beautiful Thugger Girls. According to the “Danny Glover” star, Drake will executive produce the project.
