International Camel Festival in Bikaner from January 13 to January 15

The international camel festival will take place in Bikaner from January 12 to January 14. Among the attractions planned for the festival are a camel race and a horse race. In addition to local art and culture and fusion exhibitions of modern art, the festival's highlights would include a historical walk, the Bikaner carnival, and activities built around classical art forms, according to district collector Bhagwati Prasad.

Bikaner is a vibrant desert town renowned for its magnificent historic forts, vintage appearance of a desert outpost, and other things. The camel is a significant component of Bikaner, among its numerous components. Not only were camels used for transportation in arid areas of the globe. It was more of a foundation for existence, a sign of prestige, and even the epitome of the trade and finance of the desert region. Locals frequently trade camels and camel-based products to others in return for cash or other things.

Thousands of residents gather in Bikaner each year to exchange camels and engage in cultural exchanges. This celebration is devoted to the humped ship of the desert every second of it. The declared purpose of the government's organisation of this event is to encourage travel, which is a powerful means of preserving the history and culture of the region.

The majestic Junagarh Fort serves as the background for this amazing event. In addition to the camel commerce and breeding programme, the community hosts a variety of cultural events with the primary goal of drawing in traders and merchants from near and far.

Even though there are events and commerce all day, by dusk everyone in the throng is fatigued. The commercial grounds transform into an outdoor theatre when the sun sets. Local folk groups will perform music and dance for you. In addition to these and other cultural events, there are fascinating fireworks that light up the night sky in the desert.

The entry is also free.
