UVERworld Vocalist Takuya∞ Announces Marriage

On Sunday, TAKUYA∞, the 36-year-old vocalist of the Japanese rock band UVERworld, announced on the band's official website that he has gotten married. He said only that the woman in question was an ordinary person that he had known previously, preferring to keep her full name and the exact details private. He asked that his fans please understand and continue to cheer him on as before, stressing that he will still continue to make music regardless of this change in his personal life.
Fan responses posted on Hachima Kikō ranged from shocked, to happy and congratulatory, to disappointed that they couldn't marry TAKUYA∞ themselves.
UVERworld currently has six members total: TAKUYA∞ on vocals, Akira on lead guitar, Nobuto on bass guitar, Katsuya on rhythm guitar, Shintarō on drums, and Seika on saxophone. Their past work includes opening theme songs for Bleach, Blood+, Blue Exorcist, D.Gray-man, and Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Second Season. They will also be performing the opening song for the upcoming Puzzle & Dragons X anime, which will begin airing on July 4 on TV Tokyo.
