40年ぶりに訪れることになったラスパルマス。今回の旅は７諸島巡りが目的でしたので、イメージを具体化することが出来ました。ラスパルマス（特に各諸島の情報）にスポットを当てた書籍が稀有な中、この作品に出会えてよかったと思っています。「旅」はその地での危険も心に留め、楽しくさせたいもの。自分なりの行動計画を立てて旅を楽しみたい人にはオススメしたい。

グランカナリア島ラスパルマスの日本人学校教諭として1000日間暮し、カナリア諸島全7島制覇した記録。著者の滞在よりすこし後に2週間だけ旅行者として滞在したが、やはりごく一部しか見ていなかった。でも、著者にとっては印象がよくなかったというテネリフェ島はもっといい所だよと言いたい。「人生に挫折して何もかも嫌になったら、必ずカナリアに行って乞食をやるぞ」というのは理解できる。
