寝る前に音楽を専用パソコンで聞くようになり、
枕元からパソコンまで距離があって（といって１メートルくらい）、
手が届かないので購入。
スキップとボリュームしか使わないけど便利です。

音楽ソフトはソニーのＸアプリ、
ウィンドーズは７でも８でもちゃんと機能してます。

前に買った「PC用カード型リモコン USB赤外線受光部セット」
という千円以下の商品は、わずか一ヶ月で動作不良になりました。
今回は３ヶ月経過しても元気なのでレビューしました。
あとは耐久性ですね

普通、PCのメディア用リモコンは、Windowsにメディア用のキー認識枠があって、例えば早送りだと「MEDIA_FAST_FORWARD」等、独自の信号になっています。
しかし、このリモコンはメディアセンターをキーボードで使うときのショートカットキーにほとんどのボタンが割り振られているので、メディアセンター以外で使おうというときに汎用性が低くなっています。
それと少し違いますが、チャンネルボタンは普通、「１」ボタンがキーボードの「１」に割り振られていますが、こちらはNumキーとの複合の「１」＝「Num1」で、これもテンキーのないキーボードと併用しようとすると困りますし、複合キーは何かと認識に問題を起こすことが多いです。
まとめると、信号的にはPCリモコンというよりリモコンの形をしたリモコン型キーボード(メディアセンター用)です。
VISTAに最適化された商品というのもWin10などで使うには地味に痛いと思います。
MPCでキーバインドして使おう等という用途にはオススメできませんが、代わりの選択肢もあまりないのが悩ましい。

This is also known as as the Ortek VRC-1100. I'm using it for XBMC and Windows 8 and works great in both. I've got the number pad quick launching Windows Apps with very little setup. (Just right-click the shortcut icon, select Properties, click mouse into the "Shortcut Key" box, press the remote button of your choosing, click Apply and you're set.) Most of the buttons are configurable for XBMC by creating a keyboard.xml file in ‾/.xbmc/userdata/keymaps under the structure:

I've only had it for a day so I can't comment on the quality but it feels pretty solid and the IR works from anywhere in my living room, even when not pointed at the IR receiver. My only gripes are that the "i" info button cannot be configured and the layout could be a bit better (but that's due to the mouse controller). At this price you're not going to find a better remote.
