WITH A BANG

Kim Kardashian Doesn't Look Like Kim Kardashian With These New Bangs

She's experimenting with a fringe — and some out-of-character makeup — for fall.

Kim Kardashian is loyal to her middle part, long, flowing layers, and the occasional face-framing pieces, so we tend to notice the moment she switches hairstyles — and she did on August 24 when she wore her bouncy curls with a side part. Over the weekend, she abandoned her usual middle part again for an even more unlikely look: a sleek blunt fringe and low ponytail.

Kardashian wore her low ponytail and brow-grazing bangs to the This Is About Humanity gala on August 26. Her sleek ponytail paired perfectly with her minimalist all-black outfit. Her hair, especially the bangs, looked almost unrealistically glossy, like a cartoon character's hair. If you take a closer look, you'll see that the fringe was slightly bumped towards the ends and one longer face-framing strand stood out on one side.

From the front, it looked like her hair might have been brushed into a low bun. In most photos, the slick straight ponytail wasn't visible, hidden behind her back, but she did take a few photos with it lying on her chest and trailing all the way to her waist.

Her makeup was as simple as her ponytail and bangs. Her long, fluffy lashes were accentuated by the subtle and thin cat eye on her lid. Her nude lips looked almost as glossy as her hair.

Kim Kardashian didn't actually cut her hair for this look. As she revealed in her latest Instagram post, shared on August 28, those bangs are already gone and her middle part is back.

We had a good feeling this fringe was a hairpiece given that she has always used wigs and other hair extensions to experiment with new styles. Though these bangs were short-lived, there's still a chance she'll consider a real fringe for fall.
