Yes, the Packers are 5-6. Yes, the Packers are more likely than not to make the NFC playoffs. What a turn of events for a once struggling team.

There’s plenty to talk about with the Green Bay Packers heading into Week 13’s NFL action. First of all, the Packers’ Thanksgiving win against the Detroit Lions has firmly placed them int the NFC playoff race once again. Thank you to the Minnesota Vikings, who now have as many losses as the Packers, and the Seattle Seahawks, who have lost three of their last four games, for making this possible.

The Packers also made some interesting transactions on Monday, which hint at what they might do with their roster. Also, cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring) returned to practice yesterday, which opens his 21-day window from the injured reserve.

Acme Packing Company’s Justis Mosqueda and Pack-A-Day Podcast’s Andy Herman also discuss what they hope to seem from this team in their final six games of the season. Is Jordan Love the guy? Is defensive coordinator Joe Barry safe? This next month and a half will answer these questions.

Finally, our duo previews the upcoming game against the Kansas City Chiefs, which now looks surprisingly winnable for the Packers. Tight end Travis Kelce looks like Patrick Mahomes’ only outlet in the passing game right now, as the Chiefs try to find their footing without star receivers. For all the criticism that Barry receives, one issue he doesn’t have is splitting out linebackers over an isolated tight end, as the defense doesn’t play much man coverage. That could be the key to Sunday’s game.
