Due to increase in traffic problems we see so many cases of breaking red signal daily, so for overcoming this problem we have been developed system entitled as "Automated Penalty Collection System for Traffic Signal Violation" using IoT. The purpose of the project is to track the traffic signal violations correctly using Cameras with use of RFID tag and Ultrasonic sensor. There is android application also for maintaining the data, which is accessible from anywhere and anytime. This paper shows all the system of handling traffic signal rule breakers with latest technologies. Whenever there is red light on system works. In existing system there is sms sent on mobile so we are using email notifications Thus, our system would prove helpful for the traffic management officers to successfully track all traffic signal issues in the best suitable and desired manner.

The objective of the proposed system is to increase the efficiency of Traffic ticket collection. India uses various methods to spot the traffic rule violators from manual capturing of images by the traffic police to the surveillance cameras capturing photos and automatically generating fines in the web portal .Though India is efficient in generating fines it faces difficulty in collecting them .The process of collecting fines is done manually in India with police employed in check posts between streets to stop and check fines of each vehicle .This creates an inefficient system with constant congestion on roads and economical hassle due to the manpower involved. An automated system will reduce the time spent by the police in finding offenders and the organized stopping of vehicles will reduce the congestion in roads usually caused.

This paper is about Smart Traffic Signal Monitoring &Controlling Using Iot which uses intelligent components like mobile apllication, HM-10 BLE, microcontroller,camera etc. It also consists of modules for i) Allowing passage of prioritized vehicles viz Ambulance, VIP, etc. ii) Enabling users to track their stolen or lost vehicles.iii) Help people to get information about the traffic density in specific area. Camera's are used for unique identification of emergency vehicles and mobile applications are used to get the traffic free road and nearest hospital.

One of the main reasons for the congestion is large delay or the time fixed for the red light in the signal. The turnover time of corresponding light is already fixed in the traffic system and it is not based on the number of vehicles on the particular direction. In our idea, we proposed the enhancement of traffic system controller in a road junction using microcontroller. This idea tries to reduce the occurrence of congestion caused by traffic lights, to an extent. The proposed idea is based on Arduino.The proposed model contains IR transmitter and IR receiver which are fixed at the possible direction on the traffic signal roads. Based on the number of vehicles count, the arduino decides and controls the traffic signal time duration as a result. The vehicle count produced from arduino data will be recorded. For correct classification, the record details can be stored to the controller by informing arduino to the computer system then it will send correct delay of signal into the LED lights. In future this model can be used to giving information to travelers about different areas and the traffic condition for the same.

Effective traffic management is one of the keys to smart city management Aspects. Traffic flow can be handled easily because it is possible to pre-estimate in advance the number of cars to travel through a busy intersection. The idea proposed presents a work capable of transmitting vehicle count periodically and generating an alarm when large vehicles arrive at the station controlling Bangalore or urban Indian cities. Using image processing techniques, the number of vehicles that travel through a place can be determined long before the appropriate traffic junction. In addition, the monitored detail can be sent to a remote area control center located anywhere in town through internet use.

In the current developing nation with an increase in population there is an increase in the number of traffic rule violations. Maintaining these traffic signal rule violations has always been a monotonous and time-consuming task. Although the current traffic management system is automated, the increasing population and use of vehicles and the diversity of number plates makes this task more difficult. The primary objective of this paper is to control these traffic rule violations precisely and cost friendly. The proposed paper includes an automated system which uses ultrasonic sensors and a camera which is connected to Arduino to capture video and take snapshots of vehicles. This paper presents automatic recognition of number plates of vehicles that mainly cross the pedestrian crossing when the signal is red. Nowadays road traffic has become real problem in smart cities and also traffic congestion is often seen on road. There are several ways to make traveling safe and one is through the Traffic Police. And also today, the number of vehicles is growing increasing problems of vehicle registration, license registration for RTO department and vehicle related documents verification by traffic police. This document describes the project of smart traffic process system it describes the development in technology. Saving time and making more efforts for traffic police. RTO employee having lot of work burden of making registration, license issue, transfer, etc. which requires lot of paper work. As result people can't get the things done in right time, which is waste of time and energy. Similarly vehicle owner sometimes forgets to carry the license and other documents also at time of enquiry. To solve such problems to storing all vehicle detail information related to the vehicle and driver at centralized database by RTO main administrator. And android application is provided to the traffic police because one of the most important task of traffic police is to direct traffic, manage traffic rules and apply laws. And if you violet the rules while driving, then it can easily retrieves the all vehicle related information that android application through and then finally that information though, fine it according to the traffic rules.

Traffic is the major problem in so many cities of India and there are so many countries facing the same problem now a days. the problem of the traffic is the failure of the signal lights and the bad traffic management has to lead to traffic congestion .And how it is the high time to manage the traffic congestion problem. with the various methods we can control the traffic management system and there are wireless sensor network and inductive loop detection and video data and analysis and sensors and there are many more like these etc. but there is the only problem with this that was the it occurs too much of cost and it takes so much of time and the maintenance of the system is also very high rated. A better result in the short period of time itself to overcome from these challenges a new method raises called Radio frequency. Identification (RFID). After applying this we can except that traffic will become less and the traffic will be monitored and management.
The motive of this paper is to design and implement "Intelligent Traffic with Emergency Control and Stolen Vehicle Tracking System" using RFID reader. Thus this system is capable to sense the density of vehicles for intelligent traffic management and also able to recognize emergency vehicles as ambulance to allow that signal for emergency control, as well as this system also recognizes stolen vehicles at signal junctions and updated in to IOT. It is significant to identify the density of traffic on real time mainly in metropolitan cities for signals control and active traffic management using traffic mass.

In the modern world, it is our prior responsibility to save energy effectively. Nowadays, traffic congestion is a major problem in our country, which affects the modern city's daily life routine and disturb environments. There are many problems such as travel time delay, fuel wastage, air pollution and create issues related to transport. So, traffic monitoring and controlling is the biggest challenge for traffic management authorities. So we are proposing the system whose main objective is to automate the current traffic controlling system in India. It will detect the traffic density using IR sensor. The IR sensor will send the data to the micro-controller which will be fitted in the signal post and according to the density of the traffic, the micro-controller controls the switching of the traffic light. The system will check for the multiple IR sensors reading for the density of the traffic. If the density is higher than any other lanes then the lane will get higher priority and longer time duration (green signal) for clearing out traffic. One more drawback of the old traffic management system is that the emergency vehicles are not getting that much priority as needed.

Study on Red Signal Violations and Development of Prototype for Automated Enforcement System2022 •
The violation of red signal are the major reasons for the occurrence of numerous accidents at intersections. An effort has been made to study the current rate of red signal violation in different road networks in Chennai which accounted for 18.27% and also to provide profile of red signal violation with various parameters. Road inventory survey was done at four selected intersections. The primary survey was conducted and 29743 samples were collected and analysed. The result of study provided scalable indicators for monitoring and evaluating road safety strategies to prevent red light violation in the country. The present research work also made an attempt to introduce an automatic traffic control system based on RFID technology and digital image processing. Then developed a prototype to identify red signal violation automatically with penalty system. These findings represent some useful reactions to improving road safety of urban functions in India and other developing countries.
