Black cloth covered boards with the title and author in yellow. The fore edge is rough cut. A mystery involving a home used as an Egyptian museum and a scarab. There was a 1936 film adaptation. The last pages of the text contain adverts for other Van Dine novels. This is a very good copy with moderate to heavy soiling on the top edge. The jacket has edge wear, a half-inch piece missing from the top, and two smaller chips at the base of the spine. Seller Inventory # 006470
