How to get there from Budapest: by car, take motorway M3 east of Budapest (make sure to buy a motorway pass) until reaching exit 114 at the juncture with main road 33, and at the end of the off-ramp, take a left toward Tiszafüred. Continue following main road 33 through Tiszafüred, and it will lead directly to the town of Hortobágy; at the first roundabout in the town, take the third turnoff onto Kossuth utca, and the Hortobágy National Park visitor’s center will be on the right-hand side.
