Franka Potente has landed herself a new TV role — and this one actually upholds the law.
The actress, who last played drug money launderer and merciless killer Eleanor Nacht on The Bridge, will recur on Season 2 of Syfy’s Dark Matter.
Per our sister site Deadline, Potente will play Commander Shaddick, the cool and calculated Chief Inspector of the Galactic Authority Serious Crimes Division. Shaddick is determined to prove that the crew members of the Raza were involved in the destruction of Iriden 3.
Dark Matter‘s second season premieres Friday, July 1, at 10/9c.

For an actress of her caliber i’m surprised she is not in more stuff
As to Dark Matter…well, they kind of were, they totally didn’t mean to though, and they seemed kind of super sorry about it too. And, hey, Six was as involved in that too! And I presume he actually works for her.
How has it been 28 years since “Run Lola Run?”
I’m exited about Dark Matter and Killjoys return
