Class action settlements opened in December for consumers to make claims for rebates through January and beyond. 

The class action settlements resolve claims related to bacterial contamination, delivery fees, discrimination, toxic chemicals and pixel tracking, among other things. 

A company may agree to a class action settlement as a way to resolve claims without admitting to any fault or liability and/or as a way to garner good faith with consumers.

Consumers can scan the list below to see if any of the recently opened class action rebates apply to them or visit Top Class Actions’ open settlements page to discover additional action rebates. 

Colgate-Palmolive to pay $1.9M to end Fabuloso deception claims 

Colgate-Palmolive agreed to pay $1.9 million to resolve claims it engaged in deceptive and misleading business practices when manufacturing and marketing its Fabuloso-branded cleaning products. 

The settlement will benefit a nationwide class of consumers who, from Dec. 14, 2022, to Nov. 14, 2023, purchased a Fabuloso product included in a Feb. 2023 recall

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by March 13, 2024, to join the class action settlement. 

Chick-fil-A pays $4.4M over claims it misrepresented menu prices, delivery fees

Fast food chain Chick-fil-A agreed to pay $4.4 million to end claims it misrepresented its delivery fees and menu prices to consumers. 

The settlement will benefit a class of consumers who made a delivery order purchase through the Chick-fil-A app or website between Nov. 1, 2019, and April 30, 2021, that originated from a Chick-fil-A location in California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey or New York.

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by Feb. 15, 2024, to join the class action settlement. 

Apple to pay $25M to end claims it misrepresented Family Sharing plan

Apple agreed to pay $25 million to resolve claims the company misrepresented the details of its Family Sharing plan in an alleged effort to deceive consumers. 

The settlement will benefit a class of consumers who purchased a subscription for an app via the Apple Store while enrolled in a Family Sharing group that had at least one other member between June 21, 2015, and Jan. 30, 2019. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by March 1, 2024, to join the class action settlement. 

Knix will pay $1.4M over period underwear PFAS claims

Knix agreed to pay $1.4 million to resolve claims the company manufactured and sold period underwear containing dangerous and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. 

The settlement will benefit a nationwide class of consumers who purchased the Knix products between Jan. 1, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2022. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by March 11, 2024, to join the class action settlement. 

Philips to pay $494M to end claims it injured users of recalled CPAP devices

Philips Respironics agreed to pay $494 million to end claims it injured the users of its CPAP devices after the company recalled a number of the devices on account of health concerns. 

The settlement will benefit a nationwide class of individuals who purchased, leased, rented, paid for or were prescribed a recalled Philips CPAP, Bi-Pap, ventilator or other device, along with insurers, self-funded employers and other third-party payers who issued reimbursements over a recalled Philips CPAP device. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by Aug. 9, 2024, to join the class action settlement. 

Allianz to pay $19.75M over claims it charged illegal fees on travel, event protection plans

Allianz Global Assistance agreed to pay $19.75 million to end claims it charged unlawful fees on travel and event protection plans offered through either airline carriers or event ticket sellers. 

The settlement will benefit a California and Washington class of consumers who paid for certain Allianz travel and event ticket protection plans. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 25, 2024, to join the class action settlement. 

FloSports agrees to pay $2.6M over Facebook tracking pixel claims

FloSports agreed to pay $2.625 million to end claims it violated federal privacy laws by allegedly using Facebook’s tracking pixel on its website. 

The settlement will benefit a nationwide class of Facebook users who subscribed or signed up for FloSports services and viewed videos on the company’s website between Sept. 13, 2020, and Aug. 23, 2023. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by Feb. 12, 2024, to join the class action settlement. 

NextFoods out $1.25M over GoodBelly misrepresentation claims 

NextFoods agreed to pay $1.25 million to resolve claims the company misrepresented its GoodBelly branded Probiotic JuiceDrink products could help with digestive health and “overall” wellness. 

The settlement will benefit a nationwide class of consumers who purchased any GoodBelly Probiotic JuiceDrink sold in a 1-quart container between Aug. 13, 2017, and Nov. 27, 2023. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 29, 2024, to join the class action settlement. 

HomeAdvisor agrees to $7.2M settlement with FTC 

HomeAdvisor agreed to a $7.2 million settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to end the agency’s claims the home project platform tricked contractors and small businesses. 

Individuals who were charged for a mHelpDesk membership and subsequently received a refund notification from the FTC are eligible to benefit from the settlement. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by Feb. 26, 2024, to receive a refund. 

Inflation Reduction Act authorizes $2.2B in financial aid for farmers, ranchers

The Inflation Reduction Act authorized a total of $2.2 billion in financial assistance under the Discrimination Financial Assistance Program for farmers and ranchers who were subjected to discrimination in U.S. Department of Agriculture farm loan programs. 

Financial assistance will be available to farmers and ranchers who, prior to Jan. 1, 2021, the USDA discriminated against in farm loan programs administered by the Farm Service Agency. 

The assistance will also be available to current debtors with assigned or assumed USDA farm loan debt that was the subject of USDA discrimination prior to Jan. 1, 2021. 

Consumers must submit a valid claim form by Jan. 13, 2024, to receive financial assistance.
