Islands for 17 months, now on duty at Honolulu. Bears
Marksmanship Medal.

Homer E. Lyles, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Lyles, Daw-
son, attended Dawson High School. Entered service,
1943, trained with Navy as Deep Sea Diver at Camp
Perry. Has served in France and now on duty in
Manila.
LYNCH, EDGAR D.
Sgt. Edgar D. Lynch, son of Mrs. Lula Lynch, husband
of the former Miss Levena Herbert, attended Rural
Shade School. Entered service, 1935, trained with Army
at El Paso. Has served in England, France, and Ger-
many, where now on duty.LUCAS, MARVIN L.
S 1/C Marvin L. Lucas, son of Mrs. Annie Wood, at-
tended Corsicana Schools. Entered service, 1942, trained
with Navy at San Diego. Has served at Pearl Harbor
and Marshall Islands, was wounded in action, 1943, now
on duty at sea. Has Purple Heart and Good Conduct
Medal.
LUNA, DAVID 0.
Pfc. David 0. Luna, son of Mrs. Carmen 0. Luna, Cor-
sicana, attended Sam Houston School. Entered Army
Feb. 23, 1942, trained at Camp McBall, N.C., Camp
Polk, La. Has engaged in campaigns on New Guinea,
Leyte, Luzon, now on New Guinea in hospital, wounded
on Leyte, Dec. 26, 1944. Awarded Sharpshooter, Rifle
and Machine Gun Medals, Purple Heart, PTO Ribbon,
and other Honors.
LUSK, CLYDE W.
S/Sgt. Clyde W. Lusk, son of Mrs. Katie Lusk, Dallas,
husband of the former Mavis Hollingsworth, atended
Frost and Corsicana Schools. Entered service, 1942,
trained with Army at Camp Adair, Ft. Lewis and San
Luis Obispo, Cal. Has served in Hawaii, Leyte, Biak,
Okinawa, where now on duty. Wounded on Leyte, 1944.
LUSK, A. J.
S 1/C A. J. Lusk, son of Mrs. Katie Lusk, Dallas, Tex.,
attended Corsicana and Waco Schools. Entered service,
1944, trained with Navy at Farragut, Idaho and San
Pedro, California. Has served on Iwo Jima, Okinawa,
Guam, Marianas, Leyte, now on duty at Okinawa.
LUTHER, SAMUEL R.
C.S.F. Sampel R. Luther, son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
S. R. Luther, Sr., Rankin, husband of the former Miss
M. Corene Greene, Blooming Grove. Entered service,
1942, trained with Navy at Davisville, Rhode Island.
Has served at Bermuda Island, Hawaiian Islands, Iwo
Jima, where he is now on duty.
