A pizzeria in Strasbourg: Insieme

Insieme is a Neapolitan pizzeria just a stone’s throw from Saint-Maurice church and the Botanical Garden, in Strasbourg’s Neustadt quarter.

On the menu, you will find antipasti, salads, 14 different pizzas – or rather pizze, with either burrata or mozzarella di bufala – as well as homemade desserts. Drinks-wise, the aperitivi, cocktails, wine, beer, cola, lemonade, and coffee are all Italian and carefully selected.

The pizze are made with quality ingredients, according to Neapolitan recipes. The dough is made in-house and proofed at low temperature for at least 48 hours. The tomatoes are picked at perfect ripeness before they’re simply peeled and crushed, while the mozzarella is sourced from a small dairy in Tuscany.

The Margherita and the Manzo (the restaurant’s signature pizza, with yellow tomato, bresaola, mozzarella fior di latte, grilled artichokes, and lemon) are delicious. You can clearly sense the skill of the pizzaioli (pizza chefs).

The restaurant interior is welcoming and bright, but there is a lovely terrace on place Arnold when the weather is nice. If you’d rather enjoy your pizza at home or in a park, you can also order delivery or takeaway.

We particularly enjoyed the mouthwatering smells coming from the kitchen, the simple and tasty food, the light and savory pizza crust, the friendly staff, and the freshness of the house-made tiramisu.

Insieme means “together” in Italian, and we’ll gladly follow owners Laurence and Éric on this authentic Italian culinary getaway. It’s like enjoying a piece of Naples in Strasbourg…
